Meet Some Of Our Mama Makers

Meet Some Of Our Mama Makers

We love our makers and with Mother's Day a little over a week away it seemed fitting to highlight some of our "Mama Makers"!

Katie Centrella, Founder of KC Essentials

Katie is the founder of KC Essentials, an all natural bath and body care business based in Chester County, PA.
After her son was diagnosed with severe food allergies she went on a mission to create the cleanest, most natural body products made scented with essential oils.
What is your favorite Mother's Day Memory?
My favorite Mother's Day memory is when I just found out that I was pregnanct and had't told Mark (husband) yet. That Mother's Day, Mark surprised me by taking me to a winery! I had to spill the beans when he was wondering why I wouldn't have a glass of wine.
What is your dream Mother's Day?
It would be spending the day at Longwood Gardens (the Dupont Estate in Kennett Square, PA) with my family followed by a nice dinner out. Then a nice bubble bath to end the evening with a glass of wine in hand.
Who are the little people that call you mom?
Siena age 12, Amelia age 9 and Marco age 7

Stephanie  Pellock, Founder of K&S Soapworks

Stephanie Pellock is the head and heart behind one of our best selling Georgia made brands, K&S Soapworks.

What's Your Ideal Mother's Day?

My ideal mother's day would be spending quality, device-free time with the family.

What's Your Favorite Mother's Day Memory?

My favorite memory is receiving homemade cards from the kids. I still have all of them saved through the years.

How many kiddos do you have?

I have 3 kids; Ashton-16, Noah 14 and Kate 10. Kate is the "K" in K&S Soapworks.

Lissy Rawl, Owner/Designer of Little Fish Boateke

Lissy is the creative maker behind Little Fish Boateke, based in beautiful Hilton Head Island, SC.

What inspired you to start Little Fish?

I was inspired by my interior design background. I had a bunch old fabric sample books and kept envisioning a line of jewelry with them some how. Also, I wanted to have a job where I could raise my children and wanted to show them you can do anything you put your mind to.

What is your favorite thing about being a small business owner?

I love that the sky’s the limit. There is no ceiling on how far I can grow or how creative I can get.

What are some of the challenges?

Wearing all of the hats from being a mom, a marketing director, sales rep, packaging expert, accountant, designer, sales rep, web designer, social media all while hand making the actual products we sell. It can get overwhelming. I always try to find the balance between work life and spending time with my family.
